Privacy policy
Nothing you type into a calculator ever leaves your browser. No salary, loan amount, balance or any other figure is sent to us, logged, or stored anywhere. There is no account to create and no server that sees your numbers.
What we do not collect
- Anything you enter into a calculator. Every calculation runs in JavaScript on your own device. The figures never travel over the network, so there is nothing for us to store, sell, lose or hand over.
- Names, email addresses or accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, and no login.
- Uploads. There is no upload — you cannot send us a pay stub or a document.
- Payment details. Nothing on this site is for sale.
This is a design decision, not a current phase. The site will not add accounts, stored scenarios or a paid tier, so the guarantee above is not one we expect to have to revise.
Shareable result links
The “copy link to this result” button builds a URL containing the figures you entered — for
example ?gross=75000&state=TX — and places it on your clipboard. That happens
entirely on your device. The link is only sent somewhere if you choose to send it, and anyone
you send it to can see the numbers in it, so treat it the way you would treat the figures
themselves.
Advertising
This site is not currently serving advertising, and sets no advertising cookies at all. When advertising is switched on it will be served by Google AdSense, and Google and its certified partners may then store and read cookies or similar device identifiers in order to serve, cap and measure advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented to it. This section will be updated on the day that happens.
You can review and change your advertising preferences at any time through Google My Ad Center, and read how Google's partners use cookies in Google's own policy for partner sites. Google's advertising cookie policy is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Advertising cookies are entirely separate from the calculators. They cannot read the figures you enter, because those figures are never part of any network request.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators are used and how people arrive at them. It records page views, referrers, approximate location derived from IP address, and general device and browser information, and it sets cookies to recognise repeat visits. IP addresses are anonymised. No calculator input is included in analytics data.
Consent, and your choices
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising or analytics cookie is set, and can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the same prompt. Until consent is given, storage for advertising and analytics is set to denied.
Everywhere else, you can block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not break anything here — the calculators need no cookies whatsoever and work identically with all of them refused.
Affiliate links
Some pages may link to financial products, and we may earn a commission if you open an account or take a product through one of those links. Any such link is labelled on the page it appears on. Commission never affects a calculation, and it never changes the figures a calculator returns — the maths is the same whether or not a page carries an affiliate link.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing their own money. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — a claim made easier by the fact that we collect nothing from anyone.
Changes to this policy
Material changes are dated at the top of this page, and the two sections most likely to change — advertising and analytics — describe the site's actual current state rather than an intention.
